Description
In the shadow of the dark tide,
the ancient gold spaceship shudders,
its metal skin trembling,
a whisper of fear in the void.
Stars blink above, distant beacons,
while just behind, the black hole yawns,
a monstrous trap, pulling at the heart,
tempting with silence,
the end of all paths.
We cling to hope, low and fragile,
bearing the weight of a thousand stories,
of light-years crossed, of dreams chased,
past burnished planets,
the warm glow of suns.
“Punch the engines,” we say,
as if words could forge a bridge,
between doom and survival,
fingers poised above shimmering controls
that pulse with ancient light.
Rocketing toward the nearest star,
the hum of the ship becomes our heartbeat,
gravity’s grasp loosening,
freedom lies ahead—
a shining promise in the dark.
We soar beyond the horizon’s grasp,
each moment an echo,
the gaping maw recedes,
filled with the hunger of lost time,
as we chase the glow of something warm,
sailing on faith, navigating the night,
Where hope ignites the stars,
and home waits, patiently,
lost but not forgotten.
